Robert
L. Nessen, Chairman
Mr. Nessen is a leading authority on net lease and other credit real estate
financing. He began his career in 1958 at the law firm of Dewey, Ballantine,
Bushby, Palmer & Wood where he specialized in corporate real estate finance
and was engaged in closing the first major sale-leaseback transaction. Since
that time, he has been a leader in all aspects of real estate and corporate
asset-backed finance and has been involved in closing over $6 billion of transactions.
Mr. Nessen is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Boston University School of
Law, where he teaches real estate finance and taxation. He has written the authoritative
book on real estate finance, Real Estate Finance and Taxation: Structuring
Complex Transactions, as well as two other books on real estate and on
tax policy. He also has written about real estate, finance and tax matters for
the New York Times and the Harvard Business Review and other
major journals and magazines.
Mr. Nessen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and his
L.L.B. from Harvard Law School.
